[Review] Tonymoly Luminous Goddess Aura Make-Up MIST

Hello!

I'm back with another review; this time, it's on Tonymoly's "Luminous Goddess Aura Makeup Mist"! (The name is so long, seriously.) Endorsed by Kpop group, T-ara!

I picked this product just on a random whim. I do have a few mists in my collection, but they haven't really been used a lot. Maybe a single spritz? I'm not sure why I picked this one - and after having it in my hands, I even regretted it!

But no worries! After using this mist, it's become one of my favourite products, and I use it every time I apply makeup.

Product description

I'll describe it pretty briefly here: It's a mist mixed with both oil and water, and can be used before or after makeup application. The below description from online shop Momomango describes it excellently!

Tony Moly's Luminous Goddess Aura Mist is a multple use mist which can be used both before and after makeup.  It's no secret that heavy makeup use can do a number on your skin, so keep it fresh and protected with Tony Moly's hydrating mist!  A 3:7 ratio of oil and water layered mixture helps keep your skin skin soft, moist and hydrated to prevent dry and flaky skin.

Packaging: It comes in a pinkish bottle made of plastic. It's pretty sturdy, and I have no fear of accidentally dropping this baby! (Not that I'd want to, but y'know.)

The spray nozzle is strong, and gives a good spritz. I only need 1 spritz to cover my entire face.
I really dislike the nozzles where it gives a choking, "half hearted" spritz, and you've got nothing on your face after a good 4 pumps. Bleh!

Size: It comes in a 80ml bottle.

Scent: There is a scent to this mist. I can't really describe it, but it smells... fruity? I really like it, ahaha.

More info:
- Mixture of oil and water (shake before use)
- Lasts 12 months after first use
- Prevents dry skin
- Multi use, can be used before/after makeup
- Bottom of bottle: Manufacture date

Remember to shake well before use!

Directions

1. Shake well before use.
2. Hold bottle 20-30 cm distance from face when spraying

In the picture, I'm actually spraying the product - it's not for show or anything like that. You can't really see the spray in the picture, though! Sorry.

Initial/after thoughts

Like I said - I actually pretty much regretted picking this product up. I realized after that it had a 3:7 ratio of oil and water. I thought "OIL? OIL?" and freaked out, because I thought it'd mess up my skin and give me clogged pores, or something crazy like that.

When I used it, I was really happy though! It made my skin feel really fresh, and it didn't feel heavy at all. After use, my face felt really, really soft and smooth - smoother than a baby's butt. I likeee. I also really like that the main ingredient in this product is Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Extract (Aloe Vera)!

My skin looked super dewy after use, but it does die down later. It still gives you a healthy glow on your face (nothing too drastic), so I really like it!

Right after use

So, in summary:

Pros:
- Inexpensive
- A little goes a long way, so it's cost efficient too!
- Makes skin smoother, softer, moisturized
- Gives a dewy look
- Prevents dryness/flakey skin
- Prevents "cakey" foundation application (or fixes it)

Cons:
- I honestly can't think of any...

Repurchase: Yes! It's not expensive, and it really makes my skin super soft and gives it a fresh feeling. I really like this product. I'd recommend it to anyone looking for a good, inexpensive mist!

What about you?

Korean cosmetics haul! [Tonymoly, Etude house, The Face Shop]

It's so hot in Toronto right now. You can feel the sun bearing holes into your back when you walk down the streets, I'm not even joking.

To add to the crazy factor - I don't have AC in my house

Because it's absolutely boiling inside the house, I always try to find ways to get the heck out and take advantage of AC in malls! Ahaha~ So that's exactly what I did yesterday, when I decided to go to Pacific mall.

I hadn't visited the Tonymoly store yet, so that was my #1 priority! I finally found it (it was beside the Amore Pacific store)

So anyways - Pmall. I went in empty handed, and I came out with this.

Here's a list of what I got that day:

1. 10 Tonymoly cucumber mask sheets
2. 10 Tonymoly pomegranate mask sheets (+2 Tonymoly snail mask sheets as a gift from store)
3. 10 C&F herb mask sheets
4. 10 C&F cucumber and green tea mask sheets

5. 3 The Face Shop nail polishes
6. The Face Shop "pink cushion" blush
7. The Face Shop herb day lip and eye makeup remover tissues
8. [2] The Face Shop nail repair sheets (lemon and paraffin)
9. The Face Shop cotton pad box

10. [2] Tonymoly bunny bars (#3 apple, #4 cherry)
11. Tonymoly cooling eyes stick
12. [2] Missha hand creams

13. Etude house juicy cocktail graduation nails (Princess Mary)
14. LOTS of samples

Masks

Sorry if the packaging looks foggy - I had put them in the fridge (I always use my masks cold), and I took them out to take pictures!

Tonymoly had a mask sale (10 masks for $10), so I went crazy. The shop girl gave me 2 snail masks for free as well, and said that they were a "hot selling" item right now. I don't doubt her at all - snail emulsion stuff has been a pretty big craze nowadays.

I've never tried Tonymoly's masks before, so I hope they work well for me! ^____^

I also bought 20 C&F masks at "Debbie". It's a store that sells Missha, Tonymoly, Dr. Jart, etc!

These masks are always on a "package deal". You buy 10 for $10. They're a regular purchase for me, I absolutely LOVE these masks. They work wonders on my skin, and make it look and feel amaaaazing. *___* I bought 10 herb, 5 cucumber, 5 green tea!

The Face Shop

I've been to this shop so many times, the ajumma there recognizes me. I bought the above items, and the total price wasn't a lot at all - I think I paid around $12 for the above stuff. Still, she gave me SO many samples, I liked that a lot heheh.

Random stuff

These were just random stuff I bought.  Can you guess why I bought 2 more Tonymoly bunny bars, and 2 hand creams? ^___~

Anyways, I'm excited to try the Tonymoly fresh aqua cooling eyes stick! It looks pretty cool, and I got it for only $3! (It was on sale, ahaha) The Etude House nail set looks SO pretty as well! So excited, yayyyy!

Well, that's my haul for this post! Whoohoo, I did go a little mask crazy...

By the way - if anyone lives in Toronto or goes to Pmall: "Debbie" is having a crazy sale right now! I just had to take some pictures and let you guys know!

What did you get on your latest haul? Have you tried these products before?

[Review] Laneige Multi Cleanser

Hey guys - I'll be reviewing Laneige's "Multi Cleanser" for this post!

I first tried this cleanser when I bought my first "Laneige Basic Care Set" box. It came in a deluxe sample size. I ended up using it every night to take off my makeup!

Description

"Mild and thorough cleansing for clear and bright skin"

Papain enzymes-based multi cleanser with 4 functions of:
- Removing makeup
- Removing sunscreen
- Exfoliating
- Cleansing

The tube comes in a 180ml size, and is described as suitable for all skin types. Its dermatologist tested, and is apparently non-comedogenic tested as well. The product lasts for 30 months unopened, and is good for 12 months after first use.

When squeezed out, the product is pretty thick, creamy and white. As you start massaging it into your skin, it foams up into this really foamy (heh) and bubbly texture. It feels creamy, but at the same time it feels lightweight. Hard to explain - but I like the feeling of this cleanser~

Price:

@ Amore Pacific stores (and Laneige stores): Approximately $30
@ eBay (Amore Pacific official dealer): $27 (but is currently on sale for $22!!)
@ Amazon: $28
@ Sasa: $32 (but is currently on sale for $23!!)

Laneige haul!~

Time for another haul!~

My recent Laneige shopping came in yesterday, and I'm happy to say that I'm happy about it! Most of the items aren't "first time" purchases, for me - in fact, they're staple in my everyday skincare routine.

Laneige is one of my absolute favourite Korean brands - I trust them everyday with my skin, and they've yet to fail me! When my skin is at its worst (ahem, when I burned off my face with Differin 0.3%...), Laneige's "Water Sleeping Pack_EX" was the only thing that helped.

Here's a list of the things I bought, along with a quickie review on the product's I've used before!

[Review] Atomy skin care products

I'm back with another review - this time, focusing on a number of the "Atomy" skincare products!

Atom美 (The last character is the "mi/y" part of "Atomy") is a South Korean company that makes skincare as well as health supplements. Their cosmetics claim to be made of 100% natural herbal ingredients using advanced technologies. It's a "members only" system, so you'd have to specifically buy it from an individual seller. Aka = harder to get than other Korean cosmetics.

Atomy cosmetics in a nutshell:

- High purification technology
- Korean medicine aging biotechnology
- Multiple nano-capsule technology
- Fresh organic herbal tea ingredients

The combination of these features and technologies (supported by the Korean Atomic Energy research institute and owned by different Korean companies) create the Atomy skincare line.

I know. A lot of science-y weird stuff.

I've watched their CEO, Park Han-gil, speak about his products in this youtube clip (for non-Korean speakers, there are English subtitles provided). There's a lot of boiling organic stuff, enrichment, vitamins, "excellent absorption", etc in these products. Yet despite all of this, Atomy was created on the belief that prestigious, quality goods can be sold and distributed at a low price.

All that aside, I'll tell you how this line worked on my skin.
TL;DR: It's horrible, and I wouldn't recommend it for people with sensitive or allergy prone skin.

Korean Cosmetics Haul!~ [Online shopping]

Hello, I've got a haul to show in this post!

Title says "Korean Cosmetics Haul", but it's really a mix of both Korean and Japanese stuff. Just makes it easier.

So I went online shopping, and these babies were delivered to me a few weeks later. So happy I finally received them in perfect condition! Although one of the nail decorating packages came empty. Like what? I opened it, and there was only a business card and some package protecting, sponge thingymajigs. I was so confused, but I guess I have to take a picture of that and talk to the seller... hum!

Anyways! Here's the list of what's in the picture (sorry I didn't number the items in the photo, completely forgot)

1. 2 Laneige water sleeping pack deluxe samples (came as a free gift with my Laneige cleanser)
2. Laneige  Multi Cleanser
3. All 9 TonyMoly petite bunny gloss bars!
4. Innisfree no-sebum mineral powder
5. Dollywink false eyelashes #9, "natural dolly"
6. Dollywink black liquid eyeliner
7. 2 nail art decorations (purchased around 6 of these, they're coming in one by one)

Bird's eye view... kinda.

Laneige water sleeping pack deluxe samples!
I love these so much, it's one of my favourite skincare products! The perfect skin pick-me-up! Whoohoo~

Laneige's Multi Cleanser!
This is one of the products I use to remove makeup on my face after a long day (I use a cleansing oil before this step) I've been using it for some time now, and this is the newest tube of goodness!

Tonymoly Petite Bunny Gloss Bar (x9)
I had the cherry version, but lost it a couple months ago. The packaging was so adorable, I totally fell victim to their deadly marketing. Ending up buying all 9 colours - the bunny faces are just too cute to resist!

Innisfree No-sebum Mineral Powder
I've been hearing really good reviews on this and wanted to try some different powders to set my foundation. I'll be trying this out and reviewing it (as with all the other products in this haul) on my blog soon!

Dollywink false eyelashes #9, "Natural Dolly"
Dollywink liquid eyeliner in black
Not new to both of these products, they're both re-purchases. Love them, but I'm planning to give the eyeliner away in an upcoming giveaway! (Currently hoarding lots of makeup/nail goodies for this, so exciting~)

2 Nail art decoration wheels
I just needed these (and the ones that will be coming in) to do future nail tutorials and to do my nails in general.

Skin79 Snail Nutrition BB cream
Lioele V-line waterdrop sleeping pack
The seller gave me 2 samples that came with my Innisfree powder, but I won't be using them. I'm happy with my Laneige sleeping packs, and don't really feel too interested enough to try the BB cream so... I'll give them away to someone.

That's all for today! The bunnies say goodbye, and thanks for reading!~
